Analytical Approximation of a Nonlinear Model for Pest Control in Coconut Trees by the Homotopy Analysis Method

Rugose spiraling whitefly (RSW) is one of the major pests which affects coconut trees. It feeds on tree by sucking up water content as well essential nutrients from leaves. also forms sooty mold in leaves due to process photosynthesis inhibited. Biocontrol pest harmless for trees and crops. The experimental results literature reveal that Pseudomallada astur a potential predator this pest. We investigate dynamics predator, astur’s interaction with rugose spiralling whitefly, Aleurodicus rugioperculatus using mathematical model. In system ordinary differential equation, pest-predator modeled Holling type III functional response. parametric values are calculated tabulated. An approximate analytical solution has been derived. homotopy analysis method proves be suitable creating solutions valid even moderate large parameter values, hence we employ same solve nonlinear $\hbar$-curves, give admissible region $\hbar$, provided validate convergence. have derived at fifth order stopped since obtain more iteration.
